About Me

My name is Scott Baxter. I am a husband and a father. My wife, Monika, teaches communication disorders at Richard Stockton College. My son, Michal, is 15 and my daughter, Marta, is 10. I earned a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2005 and travelled the world teaching English as a second language, writing, linguistics, and applied linguistics in Poland, Bulgaria, and Lebanon. I lived in North Dakota until August 2014. I now live in South New Jersey, about half an hour away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. In case you are wondering, the picture is of me and Michal in Beirut in 2008.
